About Us (InaTux) and Our Services: -New! GIMP 2.6.2 review
InaTux is among the few, most trusted, and is one of the most popular and successful online
Linux computer vendors; we ("The people behind InaTux") provide inexpensive custom and ready to ship Linux
machines built to fit your needs, whether simple, high performance, one computer or several, to parents,
students, Linux gamers, people switching to Linux, and anyone looking for a replacement Linux machine
to an old web server, Vista, and/or personal computer.
If you're a parent looking for an inexpensive computer for your kid(s), than look no farther than our
order page, because Linux is an operating system that is more stable, secure, reliable, entirely
free, and will run on even an old 300MHz processor. And as with being more secure, you won't ever have to deal
with trying to get rid of a Virus in time for your son or daughter to be able to continue their research
for his or hers history, chemistry, and/or math classes.
Know the programs you want are going to work, the security, stability, and performance updates/upgrades that are
available from the point of shipping are going to be applied and working correctly, because you'll have a Linux machine
that was built, setup and configured by knowledgeable and experienced Linux experts. No matter what distribution.
We pride ourselves in providing Linux machines to people all around the world; and for a significantly
lower price than you could find a Windows, Mac, or Laptop for; because almost all Linux distributions
and programs are stable, secure, and free, and seeing as it is Linux, it comes with all the latest
updates, and as soon as you hook it up and boot it up you will be able to do all of your office work,
gaming, web page designing, local & global website hosting using the Apache
web server, listen to music, move files on and off your Ipod or what have you, crate logos and graphics or
just doodle using many of the "Image Manipulating" programs-- and perhaps more productively and
seamlessly-- with no need to install more software. Pretty cool, huh?
Have questions? With InaTux Linux Q&A you can ask those questions! Whether it's about our
prices, shipping, something you're able to do on your Mac or PC and need to know if it's possible to do the same on
Linux, or just a general Linux question / problem. We'll give you the right answer, right away, we guarantee.

Early History:
As a business that started small, in Apple Valley, California ,
when there wasn't a very big demand for computers, let alone Linux machines, InaTux started by
convincing people to switch to Linux at county fairs and in small businesses, but at the time
Linux was this software they never heard of and didn't have any interest in using, until they
heard it was entirely free, and that we could provide them with any number of machines with
any version of Linux, for a substantially lower price than the computers they were considering
to buy elsewhere, that would do more than everything their existing (Microsoft Windows) machines
were capable of.
For a first-time Linux user, things can be very confusing, and companies like IBM, Asus, Dell, etc., don't
make the first Linux experience any easier, we do, because we here at InaTux believe that Linux
is meant to be easier, reliable, advanced, compatible, faster, and fun!
We are a Linux vendor that is fastly popularizing, and are very well known in the Linux
community for our "Excellent Service", "Outstanding Quality Machines" and our hands-on
"Cutting Edge" Linux distribution, product and software reviews. |
Brief Introduction to Linux:
Linux is the name usually given to any Unix-like computer operating system that uses the Linux kernel.
Linux is one of the most prominent examples of free software and open source development; typically all underlying source
code can be freely modified, used, and redistributed by anyone.
The name "Linux" comes from the Linux kernel, created by
Linus Torvalds .
The system's utilities and libraries usually come from the GNU operating system, announced in 1983 by
Richard Stallman .
Predominantly known for its use in servers, Linux is supported by corporations
such as Dell, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Novell, Oracle Corporation, Red Hat, and Sun
Microsystems. It can be used as an operating system for a wide variety of computer
hardware, including desktop computers, supercomputers, E-book readers, video
game systems such as the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Nintendo GameCube and
Nintendo Wii, several arcade games, and embedded devices such as mobile phones
and routers... Read more >> | |
